The next chapter begins where Bob made history: Boston.

Bob Hall racing in a wheelchair during the Boston Marathon in the 1970s

In 1975, Bob became the Boston Marathon’s first officially recognized wheelchair finisher, opening the door for generations of athletes to follow.

In 2027, the Bob Hall Legacy Fund will carry that spirit forward with another marathon fundraising campaign supporting mobility, independence, and access.

Every finish line tells a story about the people who showed up, gave what they could, and helped keep Bob’s work moving.

Just eight days after Bob’s passing, his inaugural REquipment Racers team took on the Boston Marathon in his honor. Every runner completed the course, supported by hundreds of people who believed in the mission.
